EVERYDAY IS A DANGEROUS DAY FOR SOME PEOPLE

Former Russian President Boris Yeltson was continuing a direction started by Former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev by disbanding the Komitet gosudarstvennoy bezopasnosti (Committee for State Security) aka KGB.  The purpose was greater Democracy and more transparent openness for the Citizens of Russia.  In it's place was supposed to be a more democratic replacement called Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation aka the FSB.  However, Russia has become a dangerous place with Russian President Vladimir Putin reversing almost everything that Former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev and Former Russian President Boris Yeltsin set into motion.  For all intent and purpose, the FSB is starting to act more like the KGB.
To be more exact, here is an example.  The mostly female and mostly faceless punk rock protest band Pussy Riot has often been antagonized and sometimes imprisoned for unauthorized concerts by the Russian Police.  Olya Borisova and Sasha Sofeev, two members of Pussy Riot, has been arrested by the FSB.  While in the process of arresting Olya Borisova and Sasha Sofeev, their telephones and computers were smashed to pieces instead of being used as evidence or simply being left there.  I don't know of any police investigation technique that requires smashing apart telephones or computers, but Pussy Riot swears by it.  Both Olya Borisova and Sasha Sofeev vanished without a trace.  The FSB has been unable or unwilling to offer any answers about what happened to either of them.
The pair went missing on February 26, 2018 only to be located safe and well the next day on February 27, 2018.
