BLUENOSE ON A DIME

We'll start first with Emm Gryner.  Emm Gryner was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada on June 8, 1975.  While staying in Ontario, her family relocated to Forest, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada.  A product of an interracial marriage, her father was Caucasian-Irish national origin while her mother was Filipino.  It was in 1995 that she graduated with a Music Industry Arts Program degree from Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology.  1995 was also the year that she released her debut album (Now currently out of circulation) to the general public.  Defeated, but not willing to give up, she worked in a business office setting with several companies, but never truly finding her groove with any of her business office jobs.  So she performed rock concerts at night while working in an office job in the daytime.  It was a songwriting contest initiated by Standard Broadcasting which proved to be a breakthrough.  Her song Wisdom Bus won and the prize money made her second album on her private Dead Daisy label on 1997.  Her third album was released by Mercury Records on 1998.  However, Emm Gryner was a casualty when Universal purchased Mercury and she was dropped from the company roster.  The rest of her albums was independently released on her private Dead Daisy label from that point onwards.  Her fourth album was released on 1999 and her fifth album was released on 2000.  She was a sessions musician on Disc 3, Bowie at the Beeb recorded by David Bowie June 27, 2000.  Emm Gryner has released an album once a year except for 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2008.  Her latest solo album was released on the year 2014.  Sean Odell became her spouse in 2004 and they produced two children together.

We shall continue with Dayna Manning.  Dayna Manning was born in Stratford, Ontario on April 27, 1978.  A music teacher named David Manning and his wife Darlene Manning were parents to Dayna Manning.  Her career in music started when upon finding a guitar while babysitting, she started to fiddle around with the guitar until she ended up writing her first song Walk on the Moon (Which was recorded for her debut album).  For his Up Close and Alone tour, Burton Cummings needed somebody to open for his concerts.  Dayna Manning fit the bill and she was still a teenager at the time.  She was nineteen years old when she released her debut album in 1997 on Network Records.  Her second album was released on 2002 and her third album was released on 2006.  December 2013 was the date that Dayna Manning became engaged to marry Aengus Finnan.

Emm Gryner, Dayna Manning and Laura C. Bates formed the folk music trio Trent Severn in 2011.  Named after a Canadian canal waterway system, Trent Severn released an album on 2012 with a second album preparing for release any day now.  Emm Gryner, Dayna Manning and Laura C. Bates continues to record albums and tour to support their music at this exact moment of time.
