PROUD AND FREE

The rain didn't fall today.  Rain was predicted, but didn't fall.  And so here I am.  I'm typing on the computer.  I filled out a few more job application forms.  July 4, 2012 is coming up.  You know what that means.  Yup.  It's Independence Day.  Today is the day the United States of America liberated itself from England's monarch King George III.  I would imagine that people would find July 4, 2012 since the United States of America treats this day as King George III humiliation day.  Actually, the United States of America wasn't liberated on July 4, 1776.  The United States of America won the War of Independence with the Treaty of Paris in 1783.  July 4, 1776 was the day the Declaration of Independence was signed by the Second Continental Congress.  July 4, 1776 wasn't the end of the United States War of Independence and the start of a new country.  Instead, July 4, 1776 was the start of the United States War of Independence and the start of a new country.  Still, the Fourth of July is a good holiday to celebrate, even if it's at the expense of the poor embattled British Royal Family sixty year regime of King George III (October 25, 1760 to January 29, 1820).   Hey, it's almost a good time to watch the toe tapping musical extravaganza 1776 on digital video disk.
