THE END OF HOSTESS CUPCAKES

Founded by Ralph Leroy Nafziger in 1930, Interstate Bakeries Corporation became a crucial United States of American institution. It was named Interstate brands in 1969. It was purchased by Data Processing Financial and General Corporation (or DPF) and was both involved in bakery products, computer hardware and computer software in 1975. DPF sold all it's computer related manufacturing assets in 1981 and renamed itself Interstate Bakeries. In 1987, it was renamed IBC Holdings. In 1991, it was renamed Interstate Bakeries yet again. In 1995, Interstate Backeries merged with Continental Baking Company (Which used to be part of Ralston Purina Company). Interstate Bakeries suffered through and survived bankruptcy in 2004. Interstate Bakeries was renamed Hostess Brands Incorporated in 2009. It's been called Hostess Brands Incorporated ever since.
Hostess Brands, Inc not only sells twinkies, ding dongs, Butternet Breads, Wonder Bread, Dolly Madison, Home Pride, Eddy's, Blue Ribbon, Di Carlo and several other brands. That was before the second bankruptcy occured only a few days ago. Only this time, it looks as if Hostess Brands will close it's doors forever before the year is through. That means no more Twinkies snack cake. No more Ding Dongs snack cake. No more Wonder Bread. No more Butternut Bread. All of that and more will be gone forever in bankruptcy. We're facing the end of an era Gentle Reader. We're dealing with a world without Hostess Brands Incorporated for the first time since 1930. Say a prayer Gentle Reader in hopes that Hostess Brands Incorporated will survive the latest challenge to it's survival, but it's already a futile lost cause. Rest in peace Hostess Brands, Incorporated. The bakery goods company will be missed.
And while I'm mourning the loss of Hostess Brands, Incorporated, here are some photos of McKayla Maroney.
