1980'S ERA MUSIC CONTINUED...
Debbi Peterson was part of the 1980's era all girl rock group the Bangles. She was the drummer for the group for three albums before the group broke up. Debbi Peterson is also the biologic sister for the group lead guitar player Vicki Peterson. When the Bangles broke up, Debbi Peterson got together with the Go Go's drummer Gina Shock, Sara Lee from the B52's along with Prince's former backup band the Revolution members Wendy and Lisa to form a brand new all girl band called Smashbox. However, the group broke up without recording an album. Debbi Peterson and Gina Shock formed a brand new all girl group called Kindered Spirits and got a recording contract with IRS Records, but broke up before they could record anything. Debbi Peterson formed a brand new version of Kindered Spirits with River City People lead vocalist Siobhan Maher. Songs from the Gina Shock and Debbi Peterson version of Kidnered Spirits was supposed to be on the album, but Gina Shock filed a lawsuit against Debbi Peterson to get her songs off the album. At any rate, Siobhan Maher and Debbi Peterson broke up after only one album. Debbi Peterson rejoined the Bangles to record two more albums with the group. Debbi Peterson is still a member of the Bangles at this exact moment of time.
