MEANWHILE, IN BEANTOWN

Mary Chapin Carpenter was born in Princeton, New Jersey on February 21, 1958.  Her father Chapin Carpenter was a Life Magazine executive who was destined to live in Japan from 1969 to 1971 before relocating to Washington D.C..  Mary Chapen Degree got a degree in American Civilization from Brown University in 1981, but never used her college degree.  Instead, she toured coffee houses in the Washington D.C. area where her father worked.  Life Magazine started in 1936 until 1972 where it was reduced to infrequent specials from 1972 until 1978.  Life Magazine returned to monthly status from 1972 before it went out of business in 2000.  Something using the Life Magazine identity has been used on only on the Internet since then.  Anyway, Mary Chapen Carpenter got launched as a country music singer in July 30, 1987 and she's still recording albums.

Allow me to tell you a different tale.  Once upon a time, roughly around 1986, Mary Lou Lord was playing guitar in the underground Boston, Massachusetts subway system.

I've been on vacation in Boston, Massachusetts several times.  Actually, only three times.  I was accompanied with relatives each time.  I didn't have the chance to visit Boston, Massachusetts recently.  Actually, going on vacation anywhere is difficult because minimum wage employment is my only source of income.  One of the consequence of minimum wage employment is that I spend a lot of time living in one city and rarely getting to explore beyond it's boundaries.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.  Yes, I don't get to see new and exciting locations.  However, it's easier to get all the necessary bills paid on time.
Anyway, while I'm lost in thought about the city of Boston, Massachusetts, here are some photos of Mary Lou Lord.  Originally born in Salem, Massachusetts, Mary Lou Lord is located (or rather started off playing subway stations) in Boston, Massachusetts.  Shawn Colvin was born in Vermillion, South Dakota and later moved to Austin, Texas and relocated to Illinois before venturing to San Fransisco before relocated to New York City, New York.  However, Shawn Colvin was originally a South Dakota girl.  Paula Cole was raised by two school teachers in Rockport, Massachusetts before she relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where she briefly attended Berklee College of Music.

I'll be honest with you Gentle Reader, I don't know what the future will bring.  We start off the year with one set of expectations and have it totally changed by the end of the year.  And yes, change will happen regardless of if anybody is prepared for it.  What I do know is the best way to survive is to have as few personal possessions as possible, avoid materialism as much as possible and live the cleanest and live a clean lifestyle as much as possible.  With luck, I'll continue to stay one step ahead of the next big life change that might be lurking around the corner sometime in the future.
Allow me to tell you another story.  Rosanne Cash was the daughter of legendary country music singer Johnny Cash and his first wife Vivian Cash.  June Cash (Who died in 2003) was wife number three and Rosanne Cash's step-mother.  Rosanne Cash was born in Memphis, Tennessee in May 24, 1955.  Her first job in the entertainment industry was a member of her father Johnny Cash's entourage.  First she was assisting in the wordrobe maintenence.  Later, she graduated to the backup band and later backup singing.  On occasion she was allowed to solo in her father Johnny Cash's shows.  She got a recording contract for her debut album in 1978, but the company going bankrupt only resulted in her album being only available in Germany and is now an obscure collectors item.  Her second album, released in 1981 was the breakthrough needed to get Rosanne Cash launched into stardom.  Her latest album was released in 2009.  She had brain surgery four years ago, but she survived medical treatment.  Rosanne Cash today is just as vibrent and energetic as she's ever been.
