1980's ERA MUSIC CONTINUED...
Vicki Peterson was a part of the 1980's era all girls rock band the Bangles right from the very start. She joined the same all girl rock band as her drum playing sister Debbi Peterson. And along with Michael Steele (Micki Steele) and Susanna Hoffs, the Peterson Sisters recorded three albums which were among the most popular dance music albums of the 1980's. Sadly, the end of the 1980's was also the end of the Bangles. The Peterson Sisters broke up around the same time as the Bangles did (Which make Thanksgiving Day and Christmas very awkward). Vicki Peterson joined the rock group the Continential Drifters with her future sister in law Susan Cowsill (Of the brothers and sisters composed rock group The Cowsills which her spouse John Cowsill is a member of). The Continential Drifters were composed of Vicki Peterson of the Bangles, Susan Cowsill of the Cowsills, Peter Holsapple of the dB's and Mark Walton of the Dream Syndicate. Eventually, the Continential Drifters broke up after three albums (I don't know if Vicki Peterson took part in the group's debut album) and Vicki Peterson rejoined the Bangles for two more albums. Vicki Peterson is still playing guitar for the Bangles to this very moment.
